Dry Brushing Detoxifies

Dry brushing

What is it and Why You Want to Do It

You may not have heard of dry brushing, but have you tried it?

What is it? Why should you care? Dry brushing is simply brushing your skin dry with a Dry Brush before showering.

There are many benefits of dry brushing.

Detoxifies

Skin is our largest organ. Dry skin will keep your body from detoxing toxins properly. By removing dry skin, your pores are open to breathe better. Your body sweats toxins out of your body while making your lymphatic system healthier. Dry brushing will decrease body odor as your body begins to detoxify itself better.

Help reduce cellulite

I understand your skepticism! Dry brushing is not a magic pill. You have to brush consistently to see results, but it does make a difference. Dry brushing cellulite away or almost away is possible! We are talking three to five minutes of your time. Most people think cellulite is fat and this is partially true. Cellulite is fat cells storing toxins. Dry brushing cellulite will not only restore your confidence in your body, but it will also rid your body of harmful toxins for a healthier life! Get your de-tox on!

Decongests pores and gives and Healthy Glow

As you start your new habit of dry brushing, your skin will take on a beautiful, youthful glow. Your lymph system is working better, you are improving blood flow which nourishes your skin, and you will begin to hear the magic words “You look younger.” Yeah, you do!

Helps alleviate ingrown hairs on the legs

As we age, we begin to battle with ingrown hairs on our legs from shaving. Dry brushing wipes them out before they start by removing the dead skin and opening up our pores.

How to Dry Brush

Once-daily (Twice if you can, but I’m a realist) Stand in the shower (No water)

  1. Buy a Dry Brush. Only use a NATURAL bristle brush. (I’ve included my favorite at the bottom)
  2. Start at the top of your feet. Take long multiple strokes always working toward your heart. (Please do be gentle) Your skin will be sensitive at first
  3. The order I like to Dry Brush. It can vary.

Feet

Legs (front and back)

Butt

Stomach

fingertips up front and back of arms

Breasts (umm- avoid the nipples…ouch!)

Chest

Back (Need a long handle brush) or a willing spouse.

***About the Neck and Face– If you choose to include these areas, you want a FACE brush.

Dry Brushing Face

This is the Dry Brush set that I like. It’s affordable, made of high-quality materials and it includes 3 brushes-

1- Dry Brush for Body

2- Dry Brush for Back

3- Dry Brush Face
